The Shard
Networking Events
The Shard Networking Events give you the opportunity to expand your network whilst enjoying a view of the city of London in the background.
During the Shard Sell-Side Networking event, you can ask questions to experienced bankers from the biggest banks in the world such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citi, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Rothschild, etc. Last year, Benjamin Thompson from J.P. Morgan and Kerry Briscoe from Morgan Stanley gave a talk to the attendants about banking and life in the city.
During the Shard Buy-Side Networking event, you can discover more about Hedge Funds, Asset Management and Private Equity through short presentations, followed by a networking session with members from the biggest names in the industry such as BlackRock, Man Group, LNG Capital etc.
WFS Spring Ball
For a number of years, the Warwick Finance Societies has run Warwick's biggest ball each Spring term.
Most recently at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on the 4th of March, 2016, our 'Carnival of Venice' Ball featured multiple photo booths, casino tables, stunning live performances, an exquisite three-course meal and free alcohol, what else would you need?
Not to mention, our ball sold out in 30 seconds.
Be ready for an even bigger and better ball this academic year, you won't want to miss out!
Weekly Market Discussions
The Market Discussions are a weekly event run by WFS, providing you with the opportunity to gain insight in the the capital markets via presentations by fellow students. The open nature of the event allows everyone to learn and exchange ideas, regardless of previous financial knowledge or background.
Covering equities, bonds, commodities and FX, you are sure to learn more about the financial markets, whether it be movements in the past, present or future.
