Warwick Finance Societies is the University of Warwick’s largest and most active student society, with over 1,200 members and a 25+ year legacy of developing future finance leaders. We provide unparalleled access to careers in markets, investment banking, quant finance, FinTech, and alternatives through 150+ events annually. From flagship Shard conferences to hands-on accelerator programmes and sponsor networking, WFS connects students directly with industry professionals. Our mission is simple: to demystify finance, broaden access, and equip students with the insight, skills, and network needed to succeed in the world’s most competitive industries.

Shard Conferences
We host three flagship conferences at The Shard, bringing Warwick talent face-to-face with the very best of the industry. Across sell-side, buy-side, and female leadership conferences, members gain direct exposure to leading firms and the people shaping global finance.

FinTech Week
In the middle of term 2, we dedicate an entire week to the future of finance: FinTech Week.
From cryptocurrency to challenger banks, we bring every key area of FinTech to Warwick, offering members a deep dive into one of the fastest-changing industries in the world. Past speakers include the CEO of Revolut Trading, a serial entrepreneur, the Global Head of Crypto.com, and J.P. Morgan technology team, leaders who are shaping the industry from the inside.
Across panels, talks, and discussions, members will explore the latest trends and disruptions in the world's FinTech hub, gaining insights and knowledge that can’t be found in textbooks or anywhere else.
Market Discussions
Our market discussions keep members up to speed with fast-moving financial markets, while fostering the ability to form and defend their own views. Independent thinking and rigorous analysis, the very skills most valued by employers, are at the core of every session.

Stock Pitch Competition
In Term 2, we host Warwick’s premier on-campus Stock Pitch Competition, judged by professionals from Fidelity International, one of our sponsors and a leading global asset manager with c. $862bn under management.
Competitors will go through rigorous screening rounds designed to identify the most compelling pitches and the sharpest investment minds on campus. The winners won’t just earn recognition from the society; they’ll showcase their talent directly to Fidelity’s investment professionals.
Annual Quant Championship
In Term 2, we host the Warwick Quant Championship: the ultimate test to find the best quant researcher and trader on campus.
Last year’s competition was sponsored by two of the world’s top quant trading firms, Jane Street and Susquehanna, with a £1,000 prize pool on the line.
From mental mathematics to estimathons and statistics challenges, participants put their skills to the test in fast-paced, high-pressure rounds designed to mirror the demands of real-world trading.
