WFS’ Investment Banking Division is here to help you break into the most sought-after graduate career in the world! We want to make our members as technically qualified and knowledgeable as possible, and instill in them the ability to communicate these concepts to interviewers. Standing out in one of the most competitive fields is becoming harder and harder, as is the standard of technical and commercial understanding required in applicants. So, we are giving our members the chance to learn high-level technicals hands-on, with tangible experiences every single week that you can talk about in applications. * Across Term 1 and 2, we are running an in-depth IB technical accelerator series, covering everything you need to know from Valuations, Accounting, M&A, LBOs, IPOs, Restructuring and much more. These weekly interactive workshops are designed to help you master the challenging Investment Banking technicals in a digestible and enjoyable way, where attendees have the opportunity to build their own models, compete against peers and see how these concepts are tested in real life IB interviews every single session! We encourage students from all degree backgrounds in any year of study who are looking to boost their technical understanding or commercial awareness to attend, and we are offering WFS Investment Banking certifications to those to attend a certain number!

 

* Look out for our flagship M&A competition in term 2, where we give teams of students the chance to present a hypothetical acquisition of their choosing. Chosen finalists will then demonstrate their organic work to industry professionals in an in-person final, simulating the work of a real Investment Banker and showing off your creativity to actual Finance Professionals. The winning team will also receive a large cash prize! This is a perfect experience to talk about in your applications and develop your understanding of M&A in a hands-on way.
