Through technical workshops, industry insight and hands-on projects, we give members a real understanding of modern FinTech and the confidence to talk about it in applications and interviews.

FLAGSHIP - Term 1
FinTech Week
FinTech Week is a series of talks and workshops with senior industry speakers, run in collaboration with the Speaker Series and the Markets division. Past speakers have included the Founder and CEO of Atom Bank and the UK CEO of Kraken, with sessions on how FinTech is reshaping banking, crypto and trading. It is the fastest way to understand what the sector actually covers and who is hiring in it.

NEW SERIES - Term 2
Coding Academy
The Coding Academy helps complete beginners build a foundation in programming, while giving more experienced members a way to sharpen their skills on practical, FinTech-focused projects. It is open to all backgrounds and builds directly towards the Hackathon at the end of the term, so you arrive with something you have already built.
COMPETITION - Term 2
Hackathon
Our 24-hour Hackathon is backed by major industry sponsors, with challenges set by them and judged by people working in the field. Teams build and pitch a project within the session, competing for a share of a substantial cash prize pool and presenting their work directly to the companies in the room. The Coding Academy runs earlier in the term as preparation, though it is not a requirement to enter.
FinTech Fresher Representative Recruitment
The FinTech division hires two Fresher Representatives each year to work alongside the senior exec in running our sessions, competitions and content. No prior experience needed, just genuine interest in FinTech and the initiative to follow through on your own ideas.
