Trading Tournament
Our trading tournament runs near the start of Term 1 on the division's own trading software, giving hands-on experience of what a career in quant actually looks like day-to-day. It is also the best way to get familiar with the platform before the Championship in Term 2, and competitors play for cash prizes.

Poker Nights
Poker nights run across both terms, sponsored by quant firms, with a sponsor-funded prize pool and tables open to all levels. Poker rewards exactly the thinking quant firms test for: pricing uncertainty, sizing your bets and staying composed under pressure with incomplete information. Whether you have never played or you play regularly, it is one of the most enjoyable ways to sharpen that instinct, and one of the easiest ways to meet the firms recruiting in this space.
COMPETITION - Term 2
Annual Quant Championship
The Annual Quant Championship is the division's flagship event, drawing well over a hundred students for a full day of mental maths, estimation rounds, brainteasers and a live trading round run on proprietary software built by the Quant division, where competitors make markets and trade in real time. It tests exactly what quant firms screen for, and past editions have been sponsored by firms including Susquehanna International Group, The D. E. Shaw Group, Capital One, WorldQuant and Jane Street. Competitors play for a prize pool running into the thousands, and top finishers have their details shared with elite quant firms.
Quant Frep Recruitment
The quant division hires two Fresher Representatives each year to work alongside the senior exec in running our sessions, competitions and content. No prior experience needed, just genuine interest in quant and the initiative to follow through on your own ideas.
